Writing Bio: Jennifer Delaney’s manuscript, He Was Kissing Caroline, won University of Colorado’s Jovanovich Imaginative Award for best graduate thesis as well as receiving finalist status in the Nidus Literary Journal competition. A chapter from her narrative nonfiction work, Coyote Heart, appeared in Sojourn Journal. Her poetry, nonfiction and fiction have been published in literary journals, newspapers, magazines, ezines and blogs.
“Jennifer gets it right away. She understands what I’m trying to accomplish in my writing, and facilitates it to make it the best it can be without trying to make it her style, her story, like so many editors do. I feel safe to be creative, to try new approaches, knowing that she will be honest and objective. She also keeps me in mind as she comes across resources – the worshops and services she’s recommended have been tremendously helpful.” Kim (novel)
“Jennifer took my manuscript, which has languished for a few years, and gave me recommendations, comments, paths to take, insights on character, plot, person, and much more. She rejuvenated my desire to finish the novel. She also made me feel that my work has worth and should be completed. I am grateful and will hire Jennifer when I finish.” John (novel)
“I appreciated Jennifer’s editing pointers! WOW! When one asks a professional for help, what does one expect?” Barbara (Newsletter)
“The introduction to my thesis sounds much better. Jen has the gift… she is on my recommendation list!” Helena (Doctoral Thesis)
