A body-centered psychotherapist, certified in Brainspotting, I am also a blogger, writing coach and speaker practicing in Denver and Boulder.
I am witnessing profound healing in clients as they become mindful of their programming. When they recognize the deep-seated beliefs they have inadvertently claimed or inherited, they begin to “change their mind.” Brainspotting is the most effective menthod. Over the years, I have engaged in several forms of meditation and studied with many mentors. Ultimately, while therapy is client led, the teacher or counselor helps to unlock the innate wisdom as the client learns and discovers the tools that work particular to his or her unique issues. My personal journey of healing and joy (recovering from eating disorders and depression) is another reason I decided to enter the counseling field. I hope to pay it forward by helping individuals discover freedom and meaning, the truth of their feelings and the power of presence. I feel a deep appreciation for people’s capacity to triumph. We are all graced with innate “knowing” to transcend obstacles.
With degrees in dance and English from the University of CA Santa Barbara, I started out as a dancer in NYC and Los Angeles. A published author, eventually, I obtained a MA in English from the University of Colorado and started a writing coaching business. As I worked with clients, I found that often their writer’s block and other issues led to childhood trauma. I wanted to help them more effectively and so I got a MA in counseling from Regis University.
